August 1st is the Wiccan festival of Lammas or Lughnasadh. On the Wheel of the Year, it’s a traditional time to show appreciation for our current prosperity and for spells and rituals to create more abundance. It’s also an opportunity to take stock of our dreams and goals and to work towards their completion.
Summer is fading as we prepare to gather the first harvest. In order to receive more of anything in our lives, we must first appreciate what we already have. So, we give thanks to the Great Goddess as we review any unfinished business and plan to complete it before the autumn equinox on September 22, 2016.
