Wiccan Spells & Rituals for Fall Equinox September 22, 2020
The Autumn Equinox, or first day of fall, occurs on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 9:30 AM EDT or 13:30 UTC. On the Wiccan Wheel of the Year the Autumn Equinox is a traditional time for spells and rituals relating to organization and finding balance and rest after labour. Now, the hours of light and darkness are equal, just as they are at the Spring Equinox.
For many of our pagan ancestors, autumn was a time of hard work when fields were harvested, and preparations were made for the long, cold winter ahead. Today, Wiccans use this festival to examine our personal progress to date and adjust our future plans. This is also an opportunity for rest and reflection as we head towards Samhain and complete the Wheel of the Year.
